Reports To: Preconstruction Manager / Director of Estimating

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and estimates

• Analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to develop total project costs

• Solicit, review, and scope subcontractor and supplier quotes

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and leadership during bid reviews

• Identify value engineering options and cost-saving alternatives

• Maintain historical cost data and unit pricing databases for reference

• Prepare bid proposals and participate in RFP/RFQ responses

• Support design-build or negotiated projects with conceptual and budget estimates

• Attend pre-bid walkthroughs and meetings as needed
   

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

• 2–5 years of experience in commercial or infrastructure estimating

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and scopes

• Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Planswift, OST, Sage, or Procore

• Advanced Excel skills and cost analysis abilities

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
